Teoriškai toks atvejis būtų įmanomas nebent dėl politinių priežasčių, nacionalizuojant visą turtą, ar panašiomis situacijomis, tačiau ne dėl rinkos sąlygų. Taip pat nereikėtų pamiršti, kad galima prarasti ne tik visus investuotus pinigus, bet ir daugiau nei investavote. Taip gali atsitikti naudojant repo*, short sell ** ar panašias priemones, tad su jomis reikėtų būti ypač atsargiems.
