Š. m. lapkričio 15 d.(pirmadienį) Kaune, bei 16 d.(antradienį) Klaipėdoje Teisės instituto organizuojamuose seminaruose „Saugumo miestuose užtikrinimo problemos: patirtis ir galimybės“ diskutuos bei sprendimų, kaip padaryti miestą saugesnį, ieškos viešojo sektoriaus atstovai, teisininkai, sociologai, kriminologai bei architektai.

Teisės instituto atstovės dr. Aušros Pocienės nuomone, saugumas mieste visada išliks aktuali diskusijų tema, tačiau pagrindinis organizuojamų seminarų tikslas – pabandyti suburti policijos, savivaldybių, vietos bendruomenių, miesto planuotojų ir architektų atstovus bei aptarti visas įmanomas galimybes bendradarbiauti. „Saugumas mieste-priklauso nuo mūsų visų “- pažymėjo seminarų organizatorė.

Teisės institutui atliktus tyrimą, paaiškėjo, jog Lietuvoje dar mažai žinomos ir menkai tepritaikomos aplinkos kriminologijos žinios. Skirtingai, užsienyje aplinkos kriminologija vis dažniau tampa už saugumą mieste atsakingų subjektų darbine logika. Ši logika leidžia apjungti policijos, savivaldybių, vietos bendruomenių, miesto planuotojų ir architektų veiksmus ir į saugumą mieste žvelgti kompleksiškai.

Šiuo seminarų ciklu pradėtos diskusijos tarp mokslininkų. Į tradicinį teisininkų, kriminologų, viešojo administravimo specialistų pakviesti ir architektai , kurie dažnai kalba apie tas pačias saugumo problemas, tačiau atskirame rate. Taip pat bus išgirsta praktikų nuomonė, kuri leis suformuoti prielaidas būsimiems tyrimams bei paskatins institucijas veikti kartu.

Seminaro metu bus dalijama metodinė priemonė „Saugumo miestuose užtikrinimo problemos“, kurioje kompleksiškai žvelgiama į saugumo problemą mieste. Ji skiriama specialistams, atsakingiems už saugumo užtikrinimą, o taip pat visiems, besidomintiems šia tema.

Tai yra pirmasis tokios tematikos seminarų ciklas, kurį organizuoja Teisės institutas. Aušra Pocienė (Teisės instituto Kriminologinių tyrimų skyriaus mokslo darbuotoja) Doc.dr. Eugenijus Staniūnas (Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universiteto Urbanistikos katedros docentas).
