Remiantis tarptautinio kelionių organizatoriaus TEZ TOUR duomenimis, pastebimas parduodamų kelionių skaičiaus augimas Lietuvos regionuose, lyginant 2009 ir 2010 m. sausio-rugsėjo mėnesių laikotarpius.

Tai siejama ne tik su padidėjusiais gyventojų lūkesčiais dėl ekonominės situacijos, bet ir galimai pakitusiais atostogavimo įpročiais.

2010 m. sausio-rugsėjo mėnesiais Vilniaus gyventojai, kurie keliavo su TEZ TOUR, sudarė 50 proc., kai tokiu pačiu laikotarpiu 2009 m. vilniečių buvo 60 proc. Tai lėmė suaktyvėję pardavimai regionuose. 2010 m. Kauno gyventojai, lyginant tuos pačius laikotarpius, sudarė 2 proc. didesnę dalį (21 proc. – 2009 m. ir 23 proc. – 2010 m.). Teigiami poslinkiai užfiksuoti ir Klaipėdos, Šiaulių, Panevėžio bei Alytaus regionuose.

Išaugusiais turistų srautais gali džiaugtis ne tik didieji kelionių organizatoriai, tačiau ir kelionių agentūros. Pavyzdžiui, Alytuje veiklą vykdanti kelionių agentūra „Etuna“ sulaukė apie 20 proc. daugiau klientų 2010 m. sausio-rugsėjo mėnesiais, lyginant su tokiu pačiu laikotarpiu 2009-siais.

„Šie metai tikrai sėkmingesni nei praėjusieji, tikriausiai taip yra dėl to, kad gyventojai jaučiasi saugesni dėl savo finansinės padėties ir nebebijo leisti pinigų atostogaudami. Alytiškiai įprastai rinkdavosi keliones į Turkiją, Kretos salą bei Ispaniją ir dažniausiai apsistodavo 3-4 žvaigždučių viešbučiuose“, - teigė „Etuna“ direktorė Onutė Gruzdienė. Ji taip pat pabrėžė, kad klientai, norėdami jaustis saugūs ir išvengti įvairių nesklandumų, dažnai pageidaudavo, kad jų keliones organizuotų būtent TEZ TOUR.

Tikėtina, kad augančiam keliautojų srautui iš regionų įtaką darė ir besikeičiantys lietuvių atostogavimo įpročiai – nebebijoma skristi ilsėtis į tolimesnius kraštus, nebepasitenkinama vien vietinėmis pramogomis.

TEZ TOUR pardavimų vadovė Rasa Lileikytė pažymėjo, kad regionų ir didžiųjų miestų gyventojų keliavimo įpročiai šiek tiek skiriasi. Pastarieji neretai patys planuoja keliones, atskirai užsisakydami skrydžių bilietus ir apgyvendinimą. Tuo tarpu regionų gyventojai labiau linkę mėgautis visu organizatorių siūlomu kelionės paketu ir daugiausiai keliauja rudenį, pavasarį bei žiemą, kai yra mažesnis darbymetis, kai lauko darbai yra baigti. Taip pat pastebima tendencija, kad vis daugiau mažesnių miestų gyventojų renkasi 4-5 žvaigždučių viešbučius.
